Oh Were Has Our Black Man Gone?

Hello everyone, it's Wednesday, June 08th, 2011 and it's time for a long and overdue blog post!

So where have I been in the past week and a half since my last post  Well, I went on a magical adventure of rainbows, flowers, love and PCP!  It was radical bros and brostress!  Naw, not really.  I didn't go on that kinda adventure (coughcoughparoleofficerfollowsthisblogcoughcough) and in fact, I didn't went on any kind of adventure.  I was at work all last week and if you work like I do, you get a bit tired and you do not think very well so there were no blogs for Wednesday and Friday of last week as well as Monday of this past week.  Granted, I didn't have anything to talk about to you guys ladies and gents!

Okay, so I do have a few things to talk about but they're minor crap.

Last Friday I helped out a friend in filming the final episode of his YouTube series "Pokemon Pals", a parody series of the classical anime hit and video game series "Pokemon".  I played a big idiotic Rocket Grunt by the name of "Snoarlax" in the episode and I must say, I did pretty okay.  I'm not that big on filming and acting, I'm a musician by heart.    Not to say I had fun on the set, shit, many laughs and stories were told and share and I got to reunite with a few old friends.  It just that, when it comes down to it, I'm a musician!  I do not have the talent or the skills to be an actor!  Anyway, check the episode (as well as many episodes from the series) that I star in below!

Other than that,  I really do not have nothing much to say.  Well, okay, one more thing!  I am writing a casual review of the legendary film "AKIRA" for a friend's blog "Epic Cinema ".  The review should be up by tomorrow and I will have it up on my blog on Friday.  I am also working on a review on the anime series "Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni" (Trans. When The Cicadas Cry) which I should have up by mid-June!

Until next time true believers!  Excso- some copyright catchphrase by Stan Lee which I can not spell worth crap!

Micheal Jackson and School Days.

Happy Monday Everyone!  Enjoy these final hours of your day off because tomorrow is the start of the work week!  If you are me however, you have already started this work week!  Yay Holiday Pay!  Woot!

So throughout the month of June I have a few small projects ranging from buying recording hardware and software for my music, composing original songs, cleaning the back yard, to saving up money and hotel cost for the next anime convention I am going to "Natsucon 2011", a local convention held in my hometown of St. Louis.  Well, more so the Metro East area of my hometown but it is whatever!    Yes, June will look like a busy month for yours truly.

Natsucon (which I will talk about in a later post) will be hosting their first AMV contest as a main event.  Seeing that i have made a few AMVs in the past, I figure why not enter the fray of horrible video production and bad anime clips?  The anime I am currently watching is "School Days", a series about a young man, Matoko,  lack of morals leading him to cheat on his girlfriend, Kotonoha, and sleep with many of the girls in his high school, including sleeping with his best friend, a young lady name Sekai who originally hooked up Kotonha and Matoko.  While watching the anime, the song "Dangerous" by Michael Jackson was playing in my head along with his other hit "Billie Jean" due to the subject matter of School Days.    So I thought I put 2 and 2 together and make an AMV out of School Days to "Dangerous". Right now, I only have a trailer for the AMV but later in June, I will have the near-complete version release on the second anniversary of Micheal Jackson's untimely's death.   Anyway, enjoy the AMV trailer!

UNTIL NEXT TIME, TRUE BELIEVES!

T.I. and Christina, I Think I'm Trapt Within These Castle Walls Myself...

IT'S WEDNESDAY EVERYONE!  WE'RE HALFWAY DONE WITH THE WEEK!  JUST TWO MORE DAYS UNTIL THE WEEKEND!  YAY ALL CAPS! CAP LOCK IS STUCK!

Well, nothing truly has happen to me at all in the past 48 hours.  Stuck at home with nothing to do.  No school.  I'm off work for a week until Memorial Day, and none of my friends are doing anything until Friday.  I really need to escape from these Castle Walls.   Dammit, I live by a major park in my hometown.  A beautiful park with miles of walk and bike trails.  I need to stop being a lazy fat butt and take at least a thirty minute walk and bike around the park.  I got no excuse to being like this. Yeah, I think that what I shall do while I wait for my latest YouTube video to finish uploading.  Take a fine walk in the park on this cloudy day of May the 25th, 2011.

In musical talent news (along with some geek news) I think I am going to do a string quartet arrangement of "To the Other Side of Sorrow" from the anime series and mature rated visual novel "School Days".   The song is played when the player earns a "Bad Ending" in the visual novel and is feature in an infamous scene in the anime series and believe me, the scene in which the song is being played is pretty infamous. Like, "pulled from the Japanese television network" infamous but that's another story.  I plan on having the first violin and cello alternate the melody and verse while the viola and second violin play the rhythm and chords section.  For an added effect, the cello will also play the "percussion" melody parts while it wait it turns to play the melody.   The only problem I might encounter with arranging this piece is figuring out the chords and short violin solo by ear but it's nothing I never dealt with before.

Here's a video of the song complete with English translation!

GOTTA HAVE ME MY NICE BOAT AND HOS!

You know, now that I think about it and I made a pun with it, I might go ahead and find sheet music for "Castle Walls" and do a string quartet of that song.

If I take out T.I. rap verses (sadly) I perhaps will make work of this as well.  Only main problem I see facing is making this repetitive due to Christina Aguilla's chorus and intro.

Snap into a Rapture! OH YEAH!

Hey, it's Monday!  Today is freakin' Monday! Happy Monday everyone!

If you are reading this well guess what?  The Rapture that was suppose to happen this past Saturday, May 21st, 2011, didn't actually happen!  Three cheers for an old senile man who thinks he can predict the "End Times"!  Good for you, buddy!

So apparently,  Harold Camping and his followers are "flabbergasted" that their end of the world prediction did not come to light. They're a bit disappointed that 200 million souls were to be lifted in to heaven while the rest of the world would to suffer from famine and earthquakes that would lead to the destruction of the world.  Well, the world is still in one piece and we haven't seen anyone ascent into heaven so it is obvious that this guy is clearly wrong.

World: 1
Camping: 0

While the world had the rapture on it's mind, the world of wrestling and sports entertainment lost one of it greats. 'Macho Man' Randy Savage (real name Randall Mario Poffo) lost his life in a single automoblie accident in the early morning of May 20th, 2011 in Seminole, FL.  He was 58 years old.  It is believed that Macho Man suffered a heart attack which caused him to lose control of the vehicle and cause the accident.
Poffo's wife, Lynn,  was also in the vehicle but only suffered minor injuries.

If you are like me, you may have grew up watching Macho Man flamboyant performance inside the wrestling ring during his days with the WWF (now WWE) and the disbanded  WCW, wowing his fans through his skills and his signature move "The Flying Elbow".  It is safe to say, there will never be another legend  like Savage to grace the wrestling ring.

Keep it Classy, Lucy. Keep it Classy...

A friend of mines drew this for me a few days ago.  If you're a fan of  Elfen Lied, you might enjoy it and hopefully you might get the reference to a famous fighting game series!

Just like the Phoenix, Blogger Has Risen from the Ashes!

Well, for the last few days, Blogger was down for a bit.  While this news was not as exciting as Sony's Playstation Network being down and out for the count, Blogger being down has annoyed its user base , myself being included in this group.    However, I do see Blogger being down as a blessings as it has given me some time to collect my thoughts for my next series of posts.

The only eventful thing that has happen to me on this ending night of  May 14th, 2011 is that I brought myself an universal  netbook charger from Best Buy due to the fact the charger that came with my Asus Netbook got shorted about a year ago.  Sadly, when I got home to test out the charger, none of the plugs for the "universal" netbook chargers work.  I was a bit upset that I wasted nearly $60 on an product that claimed to be for types of netbooks.  Ah well, hopefully I can return it to Best Buy and get an exchange.

Also, I've started watching the anime series "School Days".  Based on the mature rated Japanese visual novel, School Days follow the tale of romance, lust and betray of its high-school aged heroes Sekai, Motoko, and Kotonoha and the love triangle that they get trap into.   I'm at episode two of the 12 episode series and right now, I'm a bit bored with it but I shall give it a chance. Maybe I will even review it once I am finish watching the entire series.

I wonder where will the snow storm will take me next...

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!

(Europe, please do not sue me for copyright infringement.)

Well ladies and germs, today is the last day of school for the semester for yours truly.  Later tonight, I will be taking my last final of the 2010-2011 semester and after that, I am done with school for a good three months until I have to repeat the whole cycle once more until I either get enough credits to transfer or I have a diploma in my hand.

The final I am taking should be a bit easy with a little challenge on the side.  Basically, I would need to compose a 2:30 song in the digital workstation "Reason" using at least three drum programming, a drumline I made up using the keyboard hardware, and a melody, harmony, and chords.  Quite easy indeed.  Well, perhaps, not all that easy seeing my main weakness is keeping time and rhythm in my head but maybe I could bullshit my way through.

My plans for the  two (maybe two and a half if I go take Summer School this year or next) next semester is to just knock out any reminding required courses I need for my associate degree or transfer.

Let's see where the snow storm will take me next...
